This Privacy Policy explains how Endor Bilişim collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you download, install, or use the Quote Trivia mobile application on Android and iOS platforms.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal data is handled responsibly and in compliance with global data protection standards, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698), Google Play Developer Policies, and Apple App Store Review Guidelines.

03. Information We Collect
3.1 Optional Account Registration & Authentication Data
Quote Trivia does not require mandatory account creation. You can play the game fully as a Guest (Anonymous User). However, if you choose to sign in to enable cross-device progress synchronisation, PvP duel challenges, and public leaderboard ranking, we support the following authentication providers:
- Google Sign-In (Google LLC)
- Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.)
- Google Play Games Services (Google LLC – Android only)
When you link or sign in with an account, we receive and store the following pseudonymous profile information via Firebase Authentication:
- Firebase-assigned unique User ID (
uid) - Display name (provided by your sign-in provider, or a custom pseudonym chosen by you)
- Profile avatar (selected emoji, provider photo URL, or custom cropped photo)
- Sign-in provider type (
google.com,apple.com,playgames.google.com, oranonymous) - Account creation timestamp and last active dates
Note on Email Addresses: Your email address is processed solely by Firebase Authentication to issue authentication tokens. We do not independently store, export, sell, or use your email address for direct marketing without your explicit consent.
3.2 Camera & Photo Library Access (Profile Avatars)
The App provides an optional feature allowing you to set a custom profile image:
- Gallery Access (
NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): Used exclusively when you choose to select a photo from your device's photo library. - Camera Access (
NSCameraUsageDescription): Used exclusively when you choose to take a photo using your camera for your profile avatar.
Photos selected are cropped, resized, and compressed locally on your device before being stored as a compact avatar. We do not scan your photo library or access any other photos on your device.
3.3 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
For all players (including guests), the App stores essential local preferences on your device using SharedPreferences (Android) and NSUserDefaults (iOS):
- Audio preferences (sound effects and background music volume/toggles)
- Interface language (
tr/en) and Trivia question language (tr/en) - Theme settings (Dark / Light mode preferences)
- Cached quest progress and offline trivia session data
- Weekly PvP creation quotas and watched reward ad counters
3.4 Data Stored on Cloud Servers (Google Cloud Firestore – EU Region)
When you sign in or participate in cloud features, your data is securely stored in Google Cloud Firestore (located in the European Union – europe-west1). The collections and stored fields include:

3.5 Third-Party SDKs & Analytics Services
We integrate reputable third-party services to deliver advertising, crash diagnostics, and game improvements:
Displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads (for extra lives, quests, and duel quotas). AdMob may process advertising IDs (IDFA/GAID), coarse location, and interaction data to serve ads. On iOS, tracking is subject to your consent via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Governed by Google Privacy Policy.
Helps us understand gameplay patterns (e.g., round_start, round_complete, level_up). Analytics data is aggregated, pseudonymous, and governed by
Firebase Privacy & Security.
Collects crash reports, device specifications, operating system versions, and stack traces when errors occur to ensure app stability. Crash logs are retained for 90 days and contain no personal identifiers.
04. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected strictly for legitimate game operations:
- Delivering Core Gameplay: Calculating quiz scores, managing lives/hearts, tracking XP, levels, daily quests, and streaks.
- Leaderboards & PvP Duels: Displaying weekly and monthly rankings and matching duel participants.
- Game Synchronization: Allowing players to resume progress seamlessly across multiple devices.
- App Maintenance & Optimization: Diagnosing crashes, fixing bugs, and tuning question difficulty.
- Advertising: Serving contextual and rewarded advertisements to keep the game free to play.
- Security & Anti-Cheat: Preventing score manipulation and unauthorized automated access.
05. Advertising & Your Ad Choices
Quote Trivia is funded through Google AdMob advertising. You maintain full control over your advertising identifiers and personalized ad preferences:
Ad-Free Option: Players who purchase the optional "Remove Ads" in-app purchase will experience the game completely free of third-party advertisements.
06. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Cloud infrastructure and advertising providers (Google Cloud, Firebase, AdMob) that process data under strict data processing agreements.
- Public Leaderboards: If you sign in, your display name, selected avatar, level, and XP are visible to other players on the public leaderboard.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process by competent judicial or regulatory authorities.
07. Data Retention
We retain your profile data in Cloud Firestore for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account (see Section 8), all associated cloud records are permanently and irreversibly purged from our active databases immediately.
Diagnostic logs in Firebase Crashlytics are retained for a maximum of 90 days by Google's infrastructure before automatic deletion.
08. Account & Data Deletion
Google Play & Apple Mandatory GuidelineYou have the absolute right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. We provide two convenient methods to execute account deletion:
📱 Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Open Quote Trivia → Tap Settings (⚙️) → Scroll down to Danger Zone → Tap "Delete Account" (or "Reset Progress" for guests) → Confirm deletion.
This triggers a secure re-authentication flow, permanently deletes your users/{uid} and leaderboard/{uid} Firestore records, destroys your Firebase Auth account, and clears all local app data.
✉️ Method 2: Web / Email Deletion Request
If you have uninstalled the App or cannot access your mobile device, you may submit an account deletion request by sending an email from your registered email account to:
Please include your in-game Display Name or Player ID. We will verify and completely purge your account data within 30 days.
09. Children's Privacy
Quote Trivia is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under the relevant age without parental consent, we will promptly delete that information. 10. Your Rights & Choices
Under applicable data protection legislation (including GDPR, KVKK No. 6698, and CCPA), you hold the following rights:
- Right of Access: Request confirmation and access to personal data held about you.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request full deletion of your personal data.
- Right to Restrict or Object to Processing: Object to processing of your data on legitimate grounds.
- Right to Data Portability: Receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

11. Security Measures
We implement rigorous administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information:
- All network transmissions are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.2+ protocols.
- Firestore cloud database storage is encrypted at rest on Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Cloud Firestore security rules enforce strict ownership validation (
request.auth.uid == uid).
12. Deep Links & Third-Party Services
The App utilizes Universal Links and App Links (quote-trivia-endor.web.app/pvp/join/... and quotetrivia://pvp) to facilitate PvP duel invitations between players. The App may also contain links to external app store listings or advertisers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external third-party sites and recommend reviewing their independent policies.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect game enhancements or regulatory updates. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Quote Trivia following updates signifies your acceptance of the revised terms.
